/my favourite things vol. 1/

Ah Saturdays... One of my favourite days of the week. This Saturday I'm sharing some of my favourite things I found on the interwebs this week.

1. I just love this DIY Geometric Felt Pillow from A Beautiful Mess.

 2. Yummy Caramel Sweet Rolls that only take 30 minutes to make? Count me in!

3. Yet another amazing DIY from The Merrythought - a hanging table. If only I had enough time to attempt all the DIYs on my Pinterest board, my house would look amazing.

4. Moorea Seal has the raddest things in her online store. Like this note book for an obsessive list maker like me!

 

5. And lastly, this week I fell in love with Coco Lapine's gorgeous styling of this apartment for Fantastic Frank. Be still my beating heart.

/cooking at home/

I've been doing the Everygirl's 30 Day Cooking at Home challenge. 30 days of cooking my own meals and avoiding eating out as far as I can (I have 4 cheat days of which I've used 1).

I'm 10 days in and I'm having so much fun in the kitchen, trying new recipes and rediscovering old favourites. As I'm typing this, a banana bread just came out of the oven which has made my house smell divine. Yum!

Who needs restaurants anyway?

Here are a few recipes I still want to try over the next 20 days:
 1. Teriyaki Salmon Rice Bowl with Spinach and Avocado

/a new beginning/

I'd like to start off with a tip of the hat to my old blog and say hello to new beginnings. After three years of blogging at Trinkets and Treasures, I felt that I had outgrown that blog and needed a fresh start.  I hadn't blogged for a few months and genuinely missed the creative outlet it offered, and of course the interaction with fellow bloggers.

And so a new space started taking form in my mind. And slowly started taking form on the web.

Welcome to my second chapter. I hope you come along for the ride. We are sure to discover some new things, have some laughs and make new friends.

• I work in retail as a customer analyst
• I am always in pursuit of the perfect cup of coffee
• Jesus is and always will be my first love
• This blog is named after my cat, Lula
• Lula is named after Audrey Hepburn's character's real name in Breakfast at Tiffany's - Lula Mae
• A few of my hobbies are interior design, cooking/baking, crochet, crafting, iphoneography
